UC Davis Health California Tower

McCarthy, in partnership with SmithGroup and UC Davis Health, is delivering the transformative California Tower—a 910,000-square-foot, $3.7 billion progressive design-build hospital expansion redefining patient care in Northern California. The 14-story tower and 5-story pavilion will add 334 private patient rooms, advanced imaging, procedure spaces, and helicopter landing decks, all connected to the existing medical center. Designed for flexibility, resiliency, and long-term sustainability, the LEED Gold-targeted facility will serve as a healthcare hub for underserved communities while generating lasting economic impact through local jobs and vendor engagement. Completion is anticipated in 2030.
